The Rustica Shaded Set - Newness from Rustica

When I read on Plurk that Maxwell Graf of Rustica had released something new, I didn't even care what it was, I just had to see it. Rustica has been one of my favorite places to shop or just hang out since forever ago. The creations at Rustica never fail to ignite my imagination and appreciation for the lowly prim when in the hands of genius. *gush over*

I was not disappointed to find that Mr. Graf has revolutionzed, once again, the way things are done in SL. The Rustica Shaded Set is a craftsman/mission style furniture set. So much to talk about, I'll try to keep it short and to the point.


Options. It's all about options. First, the entire set of furniture, of which just a few of the pieces are shown below, comes to a mere 73 prims. There are 30 different furniture items in the set. Second, the sets come in 16 different wood options. And third, there are 80 different patterns and 80 different colors available to change the chair pads, blankets, table runners, etc. That's over 6400 available combinations!!

I chose the Walnut but I'm thinking about going back and grabbing a few others

 

This is the customizing HUD (fabric selection screen shown below. Also includes color selection tab not shown)  which allows you to change the pillows, cushions, blankets and sheets between 80 different fabric and color combinations amd will work on all future Rustica furniture sets.  yay!

{what next} Newness - Serendipity Collection

O.M.G. I love {what next} and everything Winter Thorn creates. AND I'm so beyond ready for Spring/Summer. So when I found out Winter had things in Project Themeory, SUYS, and Lazy Sunday, I almost peed my pants. These items are available ONLY this weekend - Feb. 26 & 27.

I Give You My Heart

I'm not sure what I did wrong. I had done everything I knew to do to set the mood. The candles were lit, the wine was chilled, fresh flowers and finger foods to be fed to each other were waiting on the bed. I had even dressed in my best lingerie. But where was he?

I stood there staring in disbelief. Nothing. No word of explanation. The phone hadn't rung. What had I done wrong? All I want to do....

Each cycle has a theme for designers to be inspired by, but they can interpret the prompt as loosely or closely as they choose. The items are all new and exclusive, but designers may sell them in their stores after the event ends (although we know for January some won’t! So keep your eyes open for those got-to-grab items!)

The concept of CHIC Limited is a small group of new and exclusive products based on a theme at a venue. However the important difference between this event and others is CHIC’s brand new Fair Pricing Policy.

CHIC Limited was created to offer a much asked for alternative to the current sales culture. Many designers felt they were unable to opt out of sales groups, hunts and events because they could not compete without the level of publicity they gave them. CHIC Limited is using the generated reputation of working with high quality brands to offer brands an opportunity to get the publicity of an event, without having to reduce their prices.
